MEET TINA

Tina is a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist with over 30 years of experience supporting children from infancy through young adulthood. She has worked across a wide range of settings, including child development centres, hospitals, and specialty clinics, bringing a thoughtful and flexible approach to every family she supports.

Tina genuinely loves what she does and believes that meaningful progress grows from strong, trusting relationships. Her work supports communication, social connection, and feeding development in ways that feel practical, supportive, and woven into everyday life. She values partnering closely with families, honouring each child’s unique strengths, and creating therapy experiences that are engaging, affirming, and often a lot of fun.

For the past two decades, Tina Nelson has specialized in supporting individuals with complex medical needs, as well as complex communication, social, feeding/swallowing, and physical profiles. At the heart of her work is a deep belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and be heard — in ways that feel right for them.

Outside of the clinic, Tina embraces island life. You’ll often find her hiking local trails, walking along the beach, listening to the waves, dipping into the (very cold!) ocean, or soaking in the lush coastal rainforest that makes Vancouver Island home.
