MEET SIERRA KELSO

Sierra is a community-driven powerhouse who brings curiosity, warmth, and a deep sense of purpose to the VSLC team. Originally from Calgary, Sierra moved to Victoria in 2022 to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics at UVic, specializing in language and speech with a certificate in American Sign Language (ASL).

With a diverse professional background spanning medical and fitness environments, Sierra is driven by the privilege of supporting others through meaningful, community-centred work. She is currently working toward her long-term goal of becoming an adolescent Speech-Language Pathologist, with a dedicated interest in how hearing impairment impacts speech production.

Outside the clinic, Sierra is a passionate advocate for sustainability, serving on the UVic Sustainability Project board. To recharge, she heads outdoors to explore Vancouver Island’s landscapes, whether she’s trail running, discovering new swimming spots, or adventuring with her dog, Bodhi.
