MEET HELENA

As a certified people-person, Helena loves welcoming new and returning faces through our doors. She is driven by a genuine passion for supporting the people around her, and nothing brings her more joy than watching the children, youth, and families we work with grow and thrive in their journeys.

Helena moved to Victoria to complete her Bachelor of Elementary Education at UVic, building a rich background across classroom teaching, childcare management, and educational administration. With years of experience supporting diverse learning, language, and sensory needs, she understands the behind-the-scenes care and advocacy it takes to foster a supportive environment for every child. Helena was thrilled to bring her administrative expertise and heart for family-centred care to the Victoria Speech + Language Centre team.

Born in Chicago and raised in Vancouver, Helena fell in love with Victoria seven years ago. Even after travelling around the world, she decided there was no better place to call home than Vancouver Island. Outside the office, Helena spends her time outdoors, whether she’s roller-skating at the skatepark, hiking forest trails, or swimming in local lakes, rivers, and the ocean.
