ASHTON FREED, RSLP

MEET ASHTON
Ashton Freed is a Speech-Language Pathologist with a strong academic foundation from the University of Alberta, where he earned his Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and psychology, with a special focus on developmental psychology.
Before joining our team, Ashton worked in community care across rural Alberta, supporting both children and adults. His musical background deeply enriches his approach to therapy — having taught piano for over a decade, Ashton integrates music-based techniques such as Melodic Intonation Therapy and Rhythmic Speech Cueing into his sessions. This makes his therapy engaging, effective, and enjoyable especially for neurodivergent clients, or those with apraxia, stuttering, or voice-related concerns.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find Ashton enjoying long walks with his partner and their dog, getting lost in a good book, or playing the piano.
