BRETT ANDERSON, RSLP

MEET BRETT
Brett brings a strong clinical background to our team, having earned her Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alberta. Originally from Manitoba and raised in Saskatchewan, she spent 6 years practicing in Edmonton, where she served as a fluency mentor, before making her way across the country to happily call Victoria home.
With six years of clinical experience, Brett holds specialized certifications in Lidcombe, Palin Parent-Child Interaction, the Comprehensive Stuttering Program, and SCERTS. She approaches fluency from a verbal diversity standpoint, affirming that stuttering is a natural, accepted way of communicating, while dedicatedly guiding children through the everyday challenges that can come with it. Grounded in neurodiversity-affirming care, her practice centers on supporting and encouraging children to proudly be themselves.
At the core of Brett’s therapeutic philosophy is the belief that genuine connection comes first. By building trusted, meaningful relationships with children and their families, she creates the foundation needed to foster resilience, confidence, and independence.
Outside the clinic, Brett loves embracing life on the island by exploring, biking, and playing volleyball. When she’s not out travelling or cheering on her favourite sports teams, you can find her curled up on the couch reading with her cat.
