KwiRyung (Ki) Kim, OT

MEET KWIRYUNG KIM (KI)
Ki is a passionate, curious, and caring pediatric Occupational Therapist who is deeply dedicated to partnering with children and their families on their unique developmental journeys. By placing a high value on genuine connection, client-centred values, and incorporating plenty of fun into her sessions, Ki strives to help every child explore and reach their maximum potential.
Ki’s path in pediatric care began in Japan, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science in Occupational Therapy from Nagasaki University. Born and raised in Japan with a Korean background, she grew up fluent in both languages and brings a deeply appreciative, multicultural perspective to her practice.
Following graduation, Ki spent two invaluable years working as a pediatric Occupational Therapist in Japan, focusing on supporting neurodivergent children and their families through sensory integration approaches.
Since moving to Vancouver in 2022, Ki has intentionally deepened her understanding of early childhood development by completing an Early Childhood Education Diploma, specializing in Infant/Toddler and Special Needs care. While navigating the extensive exams, credentials review, and paperwork required to become fully licensed in Canada, she brought her expertise to the field by working hands-on as a pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant for two and a half years, during which she also earned a basic certification in the relationship-based DIR Floortime model.
Now fully registered as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC), Ki blends her international experience with a deep, practical understanding of the Canadian healthcare system to support clinic families.
When she is not working with children, Ki loves nurturing her growing plant collection, exploring the beautiful local nature, crafting, and travelling to discover new cultures and ways of life.
