MEET SARA MARTINEZ
Sara holds a Master of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto. Drawing on her Salvadorian-Canadian heritage, extensive travels, and multilingual skills (she’s fluent in Spanish and French), Sara brings a warm, inclusive, and culturally sensitive approach to her practice.
Sara has experience supporting individuals across all ages, but her true passion lies in working with children. She specializes in child-led, play-based therapy that is fun, creative, and tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs. Sara is dedicated to building strong therapeutic relationships and believes in setting meaningful goals through close collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams.
A lifelong learner, Sara is committed to ongoing professional development and deepening her understanding of neurodiversity-affirming care. She values learning from the autistic community and other neurodivergent voices, continually enhancing her practice here with us at Victoria Speech and Language Centre.
Now calling Victoria home, she loves connecting with the community, exploring the island, playing in the ocean, dancing, and making music.
