ALLISON (ALI) STONE, MT
MEET ALI
Ali’s journey began on the close-knit Bowen Island, where she discovered the power of community support. Her passion for music and understanding the human mind led her to study music and psychology at the University of Victoria, culminating in a Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from Capilano University. With a diverse clinical background spanning dementia care, palliative care, and psychiatric settings, Ali has honed her skills in supporting a wide range of clients. Her experience extends to working with neurodiverse children and youth, embracing their unique strengths and perspectives.
Ali’s therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in neurodiversity-affirming practices. She creates a flexible, client-centered space where individuals are met exactly where they are on their journey. Using a holistic, strengths-based framework, Ali fosters an inclusive environment that celebrates neurodiversity and encourages curiosity-driven exploration. Music is Ali’s therapeutic superpower. She harnesses its transformative potential to create a safe space for clients to explore their needs and build meaningful connections. Her practice is grounded in anti-oppressive principles, ensuring each client feels truly seen and supported.
When she’s not empowering clients through music therapy, Ali embraces life’s adventures. You might find her striking a yoga pose, braving a cold plunge, jamming with friends in a bluegrass session, or cycling through Victoria’s scenic trails.
