Frequently Asked Funding Questions & Answers

Autism funding is available for children from the age they are diagnosed up to 18 years old.

Autism Funding Annual Allowance;
Up to the age of 6 years old; $22,000 per year
6 years old- 18 years old; $6,000 per year.

Counseling and case management services can be billed as “family counseling” through Autism funding for all ages. Extended health plans that include “counseling” by a “registered social worker,” and CKNW Kid’s Charity & Variety Children’s Charity also fund counseling support.

Yes, charity funding is available if your family income qualifies. Combined gross annual household income must be $85,000 or less.

Contact your local Autism support centre, or visit the government’s autism services website to start the application process. You’ll need a formal autism diagnosis and may require additional documentation from healthcare providers.
