MEET MEHRI SAFARIHABIBABADI
Mehri (pronounced “Mary”) completed her master’s degree in speech therapy at the Iran University of Medical Science, in 2008. She started her career with the Fars Cochlear Implantation team in Shiraz, Iran in 2008. She also has experience at a specialized private practice clinic in Iran.
Mehri has treated clients across the age continuum for a variety of needs, including voice, phonology, and early language development. Mehri has specialized training in fluency and stuttering support across early childhood and school-aged populations. Mehri’s approach is grounded in evidence-based practices that address not only speech fluency, but also the emotional, social, and environmental factors that impact children who stutter.
Mehri has spent much time learning from and listening to autistic adults’ voices. She is committed to working collaboratively with families to support confident, resilient communication.
Mehri loves spending time with her husband and children, and their many friends. She enjoys cooking, hiking, picnics and sharing her Iranian culture with others, as well as celebrating the many special occasions in Canada, her new home.
