Yvette Thomson, RSLP

Yvette attended the University of Victoria and graduated from the Master’s program at Western Washington University in 1990. She is grateful to be back on Vancouver Island after experiences in both public and private practice with preschool, school age and adult clients in BC, Ontario and Alberta. Yvette has enjoyed volunteering with BC Speech and Hearing; as President and on the Annual Conference Planning Committee. As a classically trained singer, Yvette has performing with choirs and acapella groups locally and with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra at Carnegie Hall.

Yvette loves seeing clients thrive with the support of their families in a neurodiversity-affirming and relationship building collaborative environment. She can also often be found outside gardening and to being Grandma Yvette to 3.

  • Two Day Advanced Collaborative Proactive Solutions (CPS) Training with Dr. Ross Greene
  • Speech sound disorder series with Amy Graham, Jenny Bjorem & Rebecca Rankin
  • Authentic AAC Course by Kate McGlaughlin.
  • Cari Ebert Seminar Topic: The Nuts and Bolts of Apraxia Therapy.
  • Gestalt Language Processing Course through Meaningful Speech.
  • PDA society UK trainings/webinars.
  • Neurodiversity-affirming approaches with Rachel Dorsey, Autistic SLP
