Micayla Galbraith, OT
MEET MICAYLA
Micayla is an occupational therapist who received her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alberta.
Before discovering the wonderful field of OT, Micayla graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music in vocal performance and gained extensive experience with children as a camp leader and nanny extraordinaire. As an occupational therapist, Micayla has worked with multiple demographics: long-term care, mental wellness day programs, and community health services, but her primary passion is working with children.
Micayla believes in the importance of secure attachments, and strives to establish trust first by employing a patient and empathetic approach to her therapeutic process. Micayla is passionate about fostering self-worth, autonomy, self-compassion, and accessibility for all brains. Her primary areas of interest include trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, sensory processing, and executive functioning skills.
In her spare time, Micayla enjoys music-making, paddle boarding, reading fantasy stories, playing video games and board games with friends, and walking with her giant fluffy dog by the sea.
