MEET TOBIE GRIERSON
Tobie brings a wealth of experience to our team, with an MSc in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University East Bay and a background in Speech and Hearing Sciences from George Washington University. His diverse clinical experience spans private practice and public schools in the San Francisco Bay Area, offering services in both English and Spanish.
Tobie’s approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that every child and family is unique. He extends therapy beyond the clinical setting, emphasizing strong family connections and collaboration. His philosophy centers on family-centered, meaningful interactions, neurodiversity-affirming practices, and viewing communication as voluntary and self-motivated. Tobie specializes in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), routines-based therapy, and child-led therapy.
Tobie enjoys exploring our beautiful Vancouver Island, diving into fantasy fiction, spending time with his partner and tabby cat, and making music with friends when he’s not helping clients find their voice.
Tobie Grierson has completed the following professional development courses:
- Bridging the Language of Literacy Workshop
- SATPAC Articulation Course
- Let’s UNMASC: Understanding the Needs and Motivations of Autistic Social Communication
