MEET ASHIYA
Ashiya is a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (pending BC College Registsration) with a Bachelors in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from India.
Ashiya’s approach is anything but conventional: She integrates client-centered, evidence-based, and play-based techniques in her practice. Whether through DIY and crafts, painting with fingers, or fun activities, Ashiya ensures that therapy is not only effective but also enjoyable!
Ashiya’s exceptional training and experience as a school-based SLP have equipped her to work effectively with adults and children with diverse communication profiles in both 1:1 and group settings. Her teletherapy experience during the pandemic has further enhanced her skills, enabling her to deliver effective therapy in various formats.
Believing firmly in collaboration and a neurodiversity-affirming approach, Ashiya works closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each client.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys reading, cooking, spending quality time with her husband and son, and indulging in various DIY and craft projects.
