Tony Kim, OT

Tony is an occupational therapist who grew up in Ontario. He completed his Bachelor of Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa and his Master of Science of Occupational Therapy at McMaster University in Hamilton. He has previous experience working with children in a variety of settings including summer camps, clinics, and hospitals. Most notably, Tony completed his research project at the Ron Joyce Children Health Centre in Hamilton, where he developed a work readiness program for teens with neurodevelopmental conditions. Tony has a variety of clinical interests, including self-regulation, sensory processing, and mental health. In his clinical practice, he takes a neurodiversity-affirming and solution-focused approach to promote occupational engagement. To achieve this, he creates a collaborative and safe environment where positive self-identity, self-awareness, and self-advocacy skills can be promoted. Tony is passionate about learning and continues to expand his clinical skills through clinical experience and professional development courses. In his free time, Tony enjoys a variety of activities including running, going to the gym, hiking, and spending time with friends!
