Shelley Gross, RSLP

Originally from Southern Alberta, Shelley completed both a Bachelor’s with Honours and a Master’s of Science through her studies of differences in cognitive processing styles at the University of Lethbridge before graduating from the University of Alberta with a Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Prior to working at VSLC, Shelley worked with families in Alberta who have children with complex needs through implementation of the Neuro-Relational Framework (NRF), a multidisciplinary body-brain-based approach to assessment and intervention for early development. She is also formally trained in the SCERTS Model (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, and Transactional Supports), a multidisciplinary framework that directly supports core challenges encountered by children with autism. Shelley has also worked previously in Accessibility Support Services, the Public Education System, and First Nations Governance.

In her spare time, Shelley practices woodworking and is a member of numerous woodworking guilds on the island. She is also an avid hiker.
