Mehri Safarihabibabadi, RSLP

Mehri (pronounced “Mary”) completed her master’s degree in speech therapy at the Iran University of Medical Science, in 2008.  She started her career with the Fars Cochlear Implantation team in Shiraz, Iran in 2008. She also has experience at a specialized private practice clinic in Iran. Mehri has treated clients across the age continuum for a variety of needs, including fluency, voice, phonology, early language development and Autism. After moving to Canada in 2019, Mehri continued her practice online during the pandemic, which enabled her to continue to be involved in speech language pathology, which for her is both a career and a passion. She is committed to supporting her clients to develop their communication skills to the best of their ability to help improve their quality of life. Mehri has participated in training with the VSLC team, including Gestalt Language Processing by Meaningful Speech and has spent much time learning from and listening to autistic adults’ voices to ensure that her practice is neurodiversity-affirming and evidence-based.

Mehri loves spending time with her husband and children and their many friends. She enjoys cooking, hiking, picnics and sharing her Iranian culture with others, as well as celebrating the many special occasions in Canada, her new home.
