Alison Gozna, RSLP

Alison graduated from UBC as a speech-language pathologist in 2003. She has worked as a school-based S-LP for two decades, experiencing a range of pediatric speech, language, and communication goals. 

Alison works towards a child-centered collaboration with family and teams, held in a neurodiversity-affirming environment. She believes that play is the work of childhood and places all learning in this context. Alison maintains an evidence-based practice and continues to grow professionally through ongoing training.

Outside of work, Alison enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, preferably exploring the outdoors or traveling.

Alison has completed the following professional development courses: 

  • Collaborative Proactive Solutions (CPS) by Dr. Ross Greene
  • Meaningful Speech course in Gestalt Language Processing
  • Introduction to SCERTS
  • Early Start Denver Model Introductory Workshop
  • Hanen: It Takes Two To Talk
  • ‘Get Ready, Do, Done!’ by Sarah Ward.”
